Servokon provides Power transformers up to 50 MVA Capacity and up to 66kV Primary/Secondary voltage with Both Off-Circuit Tap Changer (OCTC) as well as On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC) along with necessary accessories. Power Transformer are Oil immersed and has a life expectancy of around 30 years. We are manufacturing very cost-effective low energy consumption Power Transformers which also meets the State Electricity Boards requirement.
Power Transformers can also be embedded with Nitrogen Infused Fire Protection System (NIFPS) as per Customer Requirement. Power transformers are generally used in transmission network for stepping up or down the voltage level for its transmission from one place to another to minimise the energy losses. It operates mainly during high or peak loads and has maximum efficiency at or near full load.

Advanced Insulation and Core TechnologyOur transformers employ Class A or F insulation and utilize CRGO silicon steel for the core, enhancing energy efficiency and durability. This advanced material combination results in significantly reduced core losses and higher transformer longevity, ensuring reliable power delivery in demanding environments.
Customizable Output and Tapping RangeCustomers benefit from tailored voltage and capacity options, with tapping ranges of 5% or 2x2.5% and adaptable output voltages up to 11 kV. This flexibility enables the transformer to meet unique site requirements, ensuring optimal performance across various applications.
Comprehensive Protection FeaturesBuilt-in overload protection, Buchholz relay, and temperature indicators ensure safety and operational reliability. The low-noise (under 58 dB) and ONAN cooling system further enhance equipment lifespan, while an epoxy powder-coat provides superior resistance to corrosion even in tough conditions.
FAQs of Power Transformer:
Q: How is the efficiency of your power transformer maintained over its service life?
A: Our transformers utilize CRGO silicon steel cores and high conductivity copper windings, adhering to IEC/IS standards for minimal load loss and ensuring up to 99% efficiency. Regular maintenance and robust protection features help keep efficiency high throughout the transformers operational lifespan.
Q: What is the process for customizing the output voltage and tapping range?
A: Clients can specify their output voltage needs and desired tapping range (5% or 2x2.5%) during the ordering process. We engineer the transformer accordingly, incorporating either on-load or off-load tap changers to deliver precise voltage control as per operational requirements.
Q: When should the Buchholz relay and temperature indicator be checked?
A: Both protection devices should be inspected during regular transformer maintenance intervals, typically every 6 to 12 months. These periodic checks ensure any developing faults or abnormal temperature rises are detected early, helping prevent equipment failures.
Q: Where are these transformers commonly installed, and what mounting options are available?
A: The transformers are suitable for diverse installations, including substations, industrial plants, and utility grids. They can be pad-mounted, pole-mounted, or foundation-mounted, offering installation flexibility for varied site conditions.
Q: What are the main benefits of CRGO silicon steel core and epoxy powder coating?
A: The CRGO silicon steel core drastically reduces energy losses, ensuring high efficiency and operational cost savings. Meanwhile, the epoxy powder coating protects the transformer from corrosion, prolonging its lifespan and maintaining performance in challenging environments.
Q: How does the ONAN cooling system work, and why is it important?
A: The Oil Natural Air Natural (ONAN) cooling relies on natural oil circulation and air convection to dissipate heat. This system requires minimal maintenance and ensures the transformer operates within safe temperature limits, contributing to longer service life and reliability.
