We are a world class manufacturer and exporter of Power Conditioning Solutions providing the best quality products and services to our customers.

Servokon offers high quality step up and step down transformer that is used to step up or step down the voltage applied to it. The prime difference lies between both is in their primary and secondary voltage. Former has secondary voltage which is greater than its primary voltage. On the contrary, later that is step down transformer works just opposite to the former. Apart from this, the voltage ratio between both primary and secondary decides the turn ratio of the transformer. A single phase transformer of voltage 1 KVA can be easily connected to step up or step down transformer. The insulation is made up of mylar, kraft paper, nomex, varnish or other allied materials that are placed between the turns of wire to protect shorting to one another or to ground. We manufacture the transformer with quality material and ensure its delivery in the stipulated time frame.

Working

These transformers comprises of two or more coils of insulated wire that are wound around an iron core. On the application of voltage to the primary coil, the iron core gets magnetized that further induces a voltage in the secondary coil. In the end, the turns ratio determines the amount of voltage transformation.

The Transformer Is Known For The Following Features:
Longer operational life of 20 to 25 years
Low power consumption
No moving parts
Insulation in between the turns of wire to prevent shorting
Outstanding turns ratio
Application
These step-up and step-down transformers are widely used for:
Printing machines
Imported appliances
Imported machines operating at 110v

Reliable Voltage Conversion for Modern Equipment

These step up and step down transformers are engineered for dependable performance, ensuring seamless adaptation between different voltage levels. Their robust construction and use of high-quality materials guarantee smooth operation of your equipment, wherever voltage conversion is needed. Efficient and customizable, they support a broad spectrum of power requirements.

Flexible Installation and Protection Features

Available in both floor and wall-mountable designs, these transformers are suitable for varied space constraints. With high protection levels (IP23/IP44) and noise levels kept below 55 dB, they operate safely and quietly in diverse environments. The transformers are designed for ease of connection via terminal or plug-in sockets, and are rigorously tested for high humidity and voltage surges.

Precision Engineering for Peak Efficiency

Incorporating dual copper windings and CRGO silicon steel core, these transformers demonstrate superior electrical and thermal performance. The laminated or toroidal coil structures optimize efficiency and minimize losses (<1.8% load loss). Designed as per IS 2026 and IEC 60076 standards, they promise reliability and longevity for intensive, regular operation.

FAQ's of Step Up and Step Down Transformers:

Q: How do I select the right step up or step down transformer for my equipment?

A: To select the correct transformer, assess your equipment's input and output voltage requirements, power rating (kVA), and phase type (single or three-phase). Consider installation space for floor or wall mounting, and check the protection level (IP23 or IP44) suitable for your environment. Consult with a supplier for custom capacities up to 500 kVA.

Q: What is the typical installation process for these transformers?

A: Installation involves securely mounting the transformer on the floor or wall according to the model. Connect your supply and load using the provided terminal or plug-in sockets, following wiring diagrams. Ensure adequate ventilation for air or oil-cooled units, and verify connections before powering up. Professional installation is recommended for high-capacity models.

Q: Where are these transformers commonly used?

A: These transformers are widely used in industrial plants, manufacturing units, data centers, laboratories, and commercial buildings to adapt international equipment to local voltage standards. They're also suitable for sensitive electronic machinery needing precise voltage conversion and isolation.

Q: What benefits do high-grade copper windings and CRGO steel cores provide?

A: High-grade copper windings minimize energy loss, improve conductivity, and enhance thermal management, while CRGO silicon steel cores reduce core losses and promote higher efficiency. Combined, these materials result in durable, energy-efficient transformers with long service life.

Q: How do these transformers handle voltage surges and environmental factors?

A: Equipped to withstand voltage surges and operate in humid conditions (up to 95% humidity), these transformers are rigorously tested up to 2500V AC. Their insulation classes (F/H) and protection ratings ensure safe operation in demanding industrial and commercial environments.

Q: When should I use a step up versus a step down transformer?

A: Use a step up transformer when your equipment requires a higher voltage than your supply provides. Choose a step down transformer when your supply voltage exceeds the equipment's rated voltage, ensuring safe and compatible operation.
